Three channels, three clear roles
Choose the destinations from the customer, not from habit.
Final PDF: 3-Channel Social Strategy & Buffer Setup Record. Inputs: v2 brief, blog calendar, existing social accounts, audience evidence, production capacity, available media, timezone, and willingness to appear on camera.
Evaluate candidate platforms by ICP presence, discovery behavior, product/category fit, preferred formats, existing audience, production effort, and Buffer publishing support. Recommend and confirm exactly three named destinations. Facebook and Instagram are two channels, not one combined Meta channel. Record actual account handles when available.
For each channel
Required strategy
Role and audience
Why this audience uses it; channel role in discovery, education, trust, or conversion; key customer need and measurable objective.
Creative system
Content pillars; native formats; tone; recurring series; hook/body/CTA structure; visual rules; accessibility; credible proof; link and CTA behavior.
Cadence and capacity
Posts per week by format; reusable production blocks; local schedule and timezone; proposed test period; reviewer and community-response owner.
Learning plan
Primary metric; observation window; comparison baseline; one-variable tests; keep/change/retire rules; how results update ICP and editorial choices.
Adapt the source frameworks thoughtfully
Use Content Blocking: build a bank of hooks, body arguments, and CTAs; adapt them to each channel. The source uses 6 hooks x 3 bodies x 3 CTAs = 54 possible combinations. Treat that as a production option, not a requirement to publish 54 posts. Select coherent, distinct combinations. [S6-S7]
Use founder stories, demonstrations, credible comparisons, and permissioned customer/creator content. Preserve a clear opening hook, useful body, and one relevant CTA. Apply the reseller brand and current platform safe zones. Source-specific red backgrounds, split screens, timing, and audio prescriptions are test ideas, not universal rules.
Illustrative first-cycle plan, subject to learner approval
One article produces three distinct posts for each of three channels: nine scheduled placements. Use
education, demonstration, and objection-handling angles over roughly two weeks. Include both finished photo and video assets across the cycle; choose supported formats per destination. Adjust volume to capacity and queue limits.
The source is primarily about paid social. This module applies its creative and testing methods to organic posting; paid campaigns, pixels, ad budgets, and automatic ad optimization are not prerequisites.
Connect Buffer accurately
Two separate connections; neither is created by copying a prompt.
Step
Required behavior and evidence
1 · Connect the channels
Guide the learner through Buffer's official flow for the three chosen accounts. Confirm account type, handle, organization/workspace, permissions, timezone, and connection state. [S9]
2 · Connect the AI agent
Where supported, guide setup of Buffer's official MCP integration. Discover the live tool capabilities and actual channel IDs. Record verified access, user-reported access, or manual-only mode. [S10]
3 · Test safely
Prepare one clearly identified draft per channel after review of the destination and test content. Verify the saved draft, media handling, account identity, and editing capability. A draft test must not become a live test post.
4 · Check publishing mode
Record direct publishing, notification/reminder publishing, or manual-only for each account/format combination. Assign the person responsible for notification completion. [S13-S14]
5 · Check capacity
Compare cadence and future queue size with the actual Buffer plan. Present rolling replenishment or paid capacity as options; do not silently upgrade. Recheck current pricing. [S15]
What the educational site should build
Provide the guided checklist, official links, capability notes, connection record, and troubleshooting steps. Buttons should say Open Buffer or Set up agent connection unless a real authenticated integration exists. Do not display Connected merely because the learner clicked a link or checked a box.
Technical notes for the implementation agent
Official MCP endpoint: https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp. Configure its API key through the supported client setup, never in chat or PDFs; the key can reach all organizations/channels in that account. Native randmar.io integration is separate scope: Buffer supports GraphQL and OAuth with PKCE. Keep application secrets server-side and out of browser storage/logs. Verify current capabilities. [S10-S12]
Buffer supports exact-time scheduling and queue-based scheduling. Capture provider IDs, returned state, destination, UTC timestamp, local timezone, and verification time. Some native features or account types need notification publishing; a scheduled reminder is not an automatically published post.
API media inputs require reachable media URLs; local paths and private Drive preview links are not equivalent. Use an approved upload path or media hosting with appropriate rights and access. Do not expose private files automatically. Check current platform and account restrictions at execution. [S13, S13a, S13b]
