Phase 1 · Advertising readiness
Give paid traffic a clear job.
Paid advertising buys distribution; it does not repair an unclear offer or prove demand. Start with your Module 01 positioning brief, Module 03 marketing materials, Module 04 organic strategy and Module 06 Content Cycle Report. Reuse approved evidence and identify what is still a hypothesis. An earlier campaign or organic post can inform a test without guaranteeing that the same message will convert in paid media.
Agree one business objective, priority audience, offer, geography, conversion destination and accountable owner. For a retailer, the outcome may be a purchase; for a service business, a qualified enquiry or booked appointment; for a manufacturer or sales agency, a distributor conversation or qualified opportunity. A Shopify store is optional. Verify that the actual destination works on mobile, presents accurate terms and supports the intended action.
Ask for current prices, delivery costs, contribution economics, sales capacity, existing results and the amount the owner can afford to lose during learning. Finish with an explicit decision: ready for a bounded test, preparation needed, or defer advertising. A useful readiness plan is an honest result when paid acquisition is premature. Carry landing-page and offer improvements into Module 08.
Phase 2 · Channel and campaign strategy
Compare the channels that fit the business rather than opening accounts on every platform. Search campaigns can address expressed demand; social campaigns can test discovery and a persuasive demonstration; professional audiences may justify a B2B channel. Check actual geographic availability, account access, objectives, policies, formats and costs before recommending a platform. The eight platform guides at the beginning of this module are creative preparation resources, not evidence that every platform or advertising product is available to this learner.
Campaign architecture
Name each campaign, its business objective and conversion event; then define ad groups or ad sets, customer segments, geography/language, exclusions, prospecting or remarketing role, destination, creative IDs, owner and reporting window. Explain why this structure fits the available budget. Avoid excessive audience fragmentation that makes a small test unreadable.
Audience evidence
Separate the approved ICP, observed first-party signals and proposed targeting hypotheses. Use only permitted audience data and supported platform options. Confirm consent and platform restrictions before using customer lists or remarketing. Do not infer permission from an existing spreadsheet or connected account.
Keep organic scheduling in Buffer separate from advertising activation. A verified Buffer connection or organic draft does not establish access to an ad account or its billing settings.
Phase 3 · Creative and messaging
Move from proven customer language to actual campaign assets: hooks, body copy, headlines, descriptions, CTA text, image briefs, video scripts and destination copy. Reuse authentic product references, approved brand story, media rights and verified claims. Show how each variation addresses a specific customer problem, objection or desired outcome.
The earlier social reference describes Content Blocking: 6 hooks × 3 bodies × 3 CTAs = 54 possible combinations. Use this as a planning bank. Select coherent variations and a feasible test set; do not publish all combinations or mistake permutations for independent evidence. Founder stories, demonstrations, comparisons and permissioned customer content remain useful in both organic and paid work.
For Meta, prepare native feed, carousel, Stories or Reels assets with a clear opening hook, useful demonstration, protected safe zones and one relevant action. Sensory prescriptions, fixed durations, red backgrounds and paid-media thresholds in source material are context-specific test ideas unless required by the selected SOP. Follow each platform guide’s explicit requirements and current policies. The full master and platform SOPs remain available through the existing strategy pages and their plain-text agent versions.
Creative test matrix
For every asset, record its ID, audience, hypothesis, hook, body, CTA, format, source/rights, destination, reviewer and approval state. Prepare the complete selected copy and scripts, not just prompts. If media generation is unavailable, name the missing asset and production owner; do not label a storyboard as a finished video.
Phase 4 · Budget and tracking
Agree currency, test duration, daily or lifetime limit, total maximum spend, production costs, stop-loss and review authority. Use actual contribution to set an affordable acquisition range. CAC = acquisition costs ÷ new customers acquired; record which costs and attribution window are included. ROAS = attributed advertising revenue ÷ ad spend describes attributed revenue efficiency, not profit. Zero conversions make observed CAC unavailable; missing data is not zero performance.
For illustration only, $1,000 attributed revenue on $250 media spend gives 4× ROAS. Whether that is profitable depends on product or service delivery, discounts, shipping, payment fees, returns and other costs. Model conservative, base and stronger outcomes using declared assumptions; never promise a return or copy a source threshold as a universal gate.
- Confirm the actual analytics property, ad account, destination and timezone through supported access.
- Define event names and conversion value/currency; choose purchase, qualified enquiry, appointment or another relevant event.
- Set consistent campaign/content IDs and UTM naming without exposing personal information.
- Where applicable, inspect Pixel and server-side event mappings, event IDs and deduplication, consent behavior and diagnostic evidence.
- Record configuration inspected, events actually observed, attribution limitations and unverified checks separately. A configured tag does not prove an attributed conversion.
Discover live integration capabilities before offering automated setup. Prepare a concrete launch package with the exact account, final assets, destination, timing and spending ceiling. Obtain explicit authorization before activation, spending or live edits. After any supported action, read back actual state and provider IDs. If only manual ad-manager setup is available, give exact steps and an owner; keep launch status pending until evidenced.
Phase 5 · Optimization and learning
Define a hypothesis, one main changed variable, baseline, observation period, primary metric, spend cap and keep/change/stop rule before each experiment. Review delivery, audience quality, creative response, destination conversion and contribution together. Avoid declaring a winner from a tiny sample or treating platform attribution as proven causality.
Use Daily Hustle for the agreed review cadence. Keep a dated decision log with results, sample size, tracking gaps, owner and next action. Changes beyond existing authorization need review. Feed landing-page and basket findings into Module 08 — Storefront CRO & AOV Engineering; feed useful creative learning back into the Content Loop.
Your final campaign record
Create the Paid Advertising Strategy & Campaign Execution Plan PDF with readiness decision, channel rationale, campaign structure, audience/exclusions, complete selected copy and creative recommendations, budget model, tracking checklist, experiment matrix, review cadence and actual launch status. Include sources, approvals, limitations and pending actions. Inspect every page and verify the download before importing it below. A saved PDF records the educational work; it does not certify that a campaign is live.
